MORNING DROP-OFF
TK students students should be dropped off at the Kinder yard by the main office.
Kindergarten students should be dropped off at the gate on Weddington and Saloma. Students in 1st - 5th grades may enter the campus any of the following three gates:

CAMPUS SAFETY
In accordance with LAUSD's Closed Campus Policy, all exterior gates and doors at Kester will be locked during school hours.
To enter during school hours, please go to main office and buzz in at security door. If your child arrives after 8:00 am you will need to walk them to the main office and check in as being tardy. If you have multiple children here at Kester, we recommend having your oldest child exit the same gate as your youngest. |
AFTERNOON PICK-UP
TK Students can be picked up at the Kinder yard by the main office.
Kindergarten students will be walked by their classroom teacher to the gate on Weddington and Saloma for pick-up.. Students in 1st - 3rd grades will be walked by their classroom teacher to the gate at Weddington and Lemona for pick-up. 4th and 5th grade students will be dismissed from the Kiss and Drop gate on Lemona, between Weddington and Clark. Gates will close promptly 10 minutes after dismissal. Once gates close, TK - 1st grade students can be picked up outside of the main office. 2nd - 5th grade students will go to Youth Services for pick-up outside of the Clark St gate. |
KESTER MAP: DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP
Gates open at 7:30am. Students should be in their seats by 8am when the morning bell rings.TRAFFIC AND PARKING INFORMATION
TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENTLemona Ave will be one way heading north between Weddington and Clark to allow for Kiss and Drop valet. Traffic signs stating no left or right turn from Clark to Lemona will be enforced.

KISS AND DROP VALETThe Kiss and Drop valet will be in place daily from 7:30-8am on Lemona between Weddington and Clark. It is only provided in the morning at drop-off to help alleviate parking congestion, thanks to our amazing staff and volunteers.
Any child who is not yet ready to walk independently to the lineup area should not use the Kiss and Drop gate. Staff will not be available to accompany children to their lineup area. We will ask each grade level to volunteer at Kiss and Drop throughout the year. |
CROSSING GUARDThere will be crossing guards directing traffic and children at the intersection of Weddington and Lemona.

RESPECT ON THE ROADHelp keep the streets safe and keep traffic moving smoothly. Please do not make U-Turns in the street during drop-off or pick-up. Please do not stop your car to let your child out at any other place except the Kiss and Drop valet.

LEAVE EXTRA TIMEArriving even 5 minutes earlier could ensure a smooth drop-off with more parking availability. If driving, plan to arrive around 7:40, if possible.

CONSIDER OUR NEIGHBORSLet's be courteous to the surrounding neighbors and please do not block driveways, fire hydrants or park along a red curb. Please show respect for the neighborhood and think of it as your own.
