Pathway To Biliteracy Award

The L.A. Unified Pathway to Biliteracy Award honors students in TK, K, 1st and 5th grade, who have demonstrated a commitment to becoming bilingual and biliterate. Children who are not in TK, K, 1st, or 5th will have to wait until they reach those grades to request testing. Students must be bilingual in 2 or more languages for them to be considered for the award.

Testing for biliteracy will begin in March.

Reading log for 5th graders can be found on the above form. Deadline for 5th graders to complete and submit reading log is Feb 2nd, 2024. 5th grade essay writing will be mid to end of March, 2024.
